How to avoid smell

Modern stoma bags are odor-proof and the smell should not be noticed even when the stool is in the bag.

  • If you still think you can sense some odor, there is a need to investigate the cause of the odor to take countermeasures. One thing you can do is to choose food that gives less smell.
  • If you are worried about gas and smell, avoid foods that strengthen the odor.
  • Try taking more food that keeps down the smell.
  • You can also try putting deodorizer in your bag.
